YAY, A WILD BLOG POST APPEARS!
For a long time this site has been nothing but a simple placeholder1. I wanted to share more, but I needed to write blog posts that were "good enough", get the style "good enough "... And so I keep drafting posts and publishing nothing. I've been failing to do the second half of Do Something and Brag About It.
I've decided to publish an unfinished site. I have published a couple of mostly finished posts. I believe we should Normalise Sharing Scrappy Fiddles. Funnily, I have no problem sharing half finished programming projects on github. Why am I less willing to publish half finished posts?
I want to treat this more like a digital garden than a traditional blog. Posts can be short, incomplete and link to each other. I'm not sure how well this will work but I think it will suit me better than trying to produce finished polished articles.
So, welcome to my space on the internet. I'll spare you the under construction images.
- [ ] My name and contact details are missing on the about page.
- [ ] Wide code blocks break the layout on mobile.
- [ ] I haven't linked to the actual LLM conversation in Like a Human.
- [X] Inline links are the same colour as the body text.
- [X] Write a welcome post.
- [ ] Pelican doesn't render checkboxes in markdown.
My welcome post is also a todo list!
And while you wait you can track my progress using this handy progress bar:
